Kishwar Sultana's Story

Kishwar Sultana, 46-years-of-age is a widow who resides in her brother’s home with his brother’s family. She is a patient of uterine fibroids. She experiences heavy menstrual bleeding which lasts longer than usual along with nausea and vomiting. Due to not getting timely treatment, her condition has worsened.
Now, she has now become too weak to perform her day-to-day activities and support herself. She has visited several doctors but they all of them recommended her to undergo Total Abdominal Hysterectomy (a surgical procedure to remove the uterus through an incision in the lower abdomen) for which she needs our help. Without wasting time, the day Kishwar found out about Transparent Hands, she got her case registered in priority.
Her brother’s income is not sufficient to take care of the needs of his sister as he has his own family to feed. Kishwar works and earns PKR 5000 for herself but due to her painful condition, she is restricted to bed most of the time and cannot go to work anymore.

Kishwar Sultana's Story
Kishwar Sultana, 49 years old, suffered from prolonged heavy menstrual bleeding for almost a year. On visiting a hospital, her proper medical check-up was conducted and she was diagnosed with fibroid uterus. Her gynaecologist recommended surgical intervention to remove the uterus. For this purpose, Kishwar was admitted in Akram Medical Complex and her total abdominal hysterectomy was performed by Dr. Asia Nasir on 01.12.2020. She stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged with good postoperative recovery. She has resumed her daily life activities now.
