Donate to Nasir Shahzad for His Total Hip Replacement Surgery
Nasir Shahzad's Story
Nasir Shahzad, 38-years-old, has been enduring discomfort and pain because of his hip problem for about 20 years now. He has visited multiple government hospitals but they only prescribe medicines for pain relief. They have diagnosed his condition as bilateral avascular necrosis (B/L AVN) of femoral heads. This AVN is characterized by death of bone tissue secondary to loss of blood supply. On his visit to a private hospital, the doctor recommended a total hip replacement (THR) surgery for him. But the cost for this particular surgery is out of his budget.
He visited a government hospital again where they told him to come back 2 years later to get operated. Present day, Nasir cannot walk without support and does not have the resources to pay for his surgery. He runs a small shop in his own house and earns only PKR 4000 per month. He has three daughters and lives in his parents’ house.
“I cannot walk without support and hate being an inconvenience for my family. I wish for a miracle since I have lived with this problem for almost half of my life now”.- Nasir Shahzad
On a doctor’s suggestion, he visited the Transparent Hands office for help. He is relying solely on your donations.
We request you to donate for Nasir’s surgery. Your financial help could end his suffering of 20 years.
