Sadaf Bibi's Story
25-year-old Sadaf Bibi got married 4 years ago and has a 3-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter. She is now pregnant for the third time. Both her children were delivered by LS C-sections due to complications in pregnancies and this time again, her child has to be delivered via a C-section.
Sadaf Bibi’s husband works as a laborer with a mason and gets 600 PKR/day, with an average of 12,000 PKR/month. During both her previous LS C-sections, financial help was given to Sadaf Bibi by her parents. This time, her parents are not in a position to assist her because her father lost his job after lockdown. She visited her local hospital to register for a free surgical procedure but her due date is much earlier than the next available appointment. Then, she contacted Transparent Hands.
“My local hospital told me they cannot help me because they are already overbooked for the year. The only available spots are at private clinics and I will have to pay through my nose to have the surgery at one of them. I don’t have that sort of money.” – Sadaf Bibi
With your assistance, Sadaf Bibi can have her operation on her due date, free of cost.
