Empower Ayesha’s Life with an Artificial Leg
Ayesha Bibi's Story
Ayesha is a determined 19-year-old from Karachi, Pakistan, whose life was forever changed by a spreading infection in her left leg. To prevent further complications, she underwent a below-knee amputation one year ago. Now, Ayesha needs a below-knee prosthesis to regain her independence and mobility.
Living with four family members and a monthly income of only 35,000 PKR, Ayesha faces significant financial constraints. The cost of acquiring an artificial leg is beyond their means, leaving her reliant on others and limiting her ability to lead a fulfilling life. Ayesha dreams of walking again and making meaningful contributions to her family.
Ayesha said it in a depressed tone:
“This infection changed my life, but with your support, I can overcome it. Your contribution will provide me with an artificial leg, restore my hope, and give me back my independence.”
Transparent Hands is committed to helping Ayesha reclaim her mobility and independence. By contributing to her campaign, you can play a crucial role in transforming her life. Even a modest donation, as little as $10, can make a tremendous difference in providing Ayesha with the much-needed artificial leg.
An artificial leg will not only restore Ayesha’s ability to walk but also reignite her hope for a brighter future. With an artificial leg, she will regain her mobility, enabling her to pursue her dreams, engage in daily activities, and become self-reliant. Your donation will not only provide her with the necessary medical equipment but also empower her to rebuild her life and embrace new possibilities.

Ayesha Bibi's Story
Ayesha, a 19-year-old girl from Karachi, had a spreading infection in her left leg. To prevent further complications, she underwent a below-knee amputation one year ago. Since then, Ayesha’s life became filled with hardships. At this young age, she lost her left leg and she became dependent on others for daily chores. Her doctor recommended a below-knee prosthesis to regain her independence and mobility. However, the cost of the artificial leg was beyond Ayesha’s family’s financial reach.
Ayesha lives in a modest house with her four family members. Her father, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 35000. This monthly income was insufficient to meet their living expenses. The financial strain of the prosthesis was an additional burden for Ayesha’s family as they were already suffering from financial hardships. With hope in their hearts, Ayesha’s family contacted Transparent Hands and asked us for help. We listened to their concerns and registered her case. Through the contribution of donors, we managed to give Ayesha the gift of an artificial limb.
On 15th March 2024, Ayesha’s below-knee prosthesis was fitted at Chal Foundation in Islamabad. It was done under the supervision of Dr. Ummad Shafiq. Ayesha’s happiness was indescribable when she took her first step with a prosthetic leg.
Ayesha described her happiness as follows:
“You didn’t just give me a prosthetic limb; you gave me the ability to live a normal life. I feel like I have been given a second chance at life. I am eternally grateful to you.”
This artificial leg has not only restored Ayesha's ability to walk but also gave her new hope for a bright future. It was all made possible because of you. Ayesha can now pursue her dreams, engage in daily activities, and spend her life with independence. Not only did your contributions provide her with the necessary artificial leg but also empowered her to rebuild her life and embrace new possibilities. Her family is thankful to you for changing her life.
