Gulnaz Asghar's Story

Gulnaz Asghar, a 20-year-old woman from Karachi, is stepping into motherhood for the very first time. She is over 28 weeks pregnant, and this pregnancy is especially precious to her and her family. She went to a local hospital for a follow-up visit with her gynecologist. After careful medical evaluation, the doctor has strongly advised her to undergo a C-section to ensure the safety of both the mother and baby. However, the cost of the C-section is beyond her means.

This C-section is necessary due to the sensitive nature of her pregnancy. Without surgical intervention, both Gulnaz and her unborn child may face serious complications during delivery, such as fetal distress, prolonged labor, or life-threatening emergencies.

Gulnaz lives in a rented house with her husband and extended family. Her husband is currently unemployed, and they are entirely dependent on Gulnaz’s brother. He manages to support the entire household through a monthly income of just PKR 40,000. With their house rent, groceries, and utility bills to manage, they simply cannot afford the cost of a C-section on their own. During this time of need, Gulnaz contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.

Gulnaz shared her heartfelt plea as follows:

“This is our first child, and I want nothing more than to hold my baby in my arms. However, every day, the worry grows. We’re trying to stay hopeful, but we know we can’t afford the surgery. Please help us bring our child into this world safely.”

Your kind support can turn Gulnaz’s fear into joy. By contributing to her C-section, you are giving a young deserving woman the chance to embrace motherhood without fear.

Let’s join hands to support Gulnaz and help this family welcome their first child with love and relief.
