Enable Ibrahim to Explore the World of Sounds

Mohammad Ibrahim Farhan's Story
Mohammad Ibrahim Farhan, a 6-year-old boy from Karachi, is unable to hear and respond to sounds. At his age when most children start to explore different sounds and learn new words, Ibrahim is trapped in his silent world. He has never heard his parents’ and siblings’ voices which other children take for granted. Upon noticing his unresponsiveness to sounds, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a detailed medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Ibrahim with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. To open the door to the world of sounds for him, the doctor advised cochlear implant surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of this expensive surgery is overwhelming for Ibrahim’s family.
If Ibrahim doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak. The sooner he receives the cochlear implant, the better his chances of speech and language development which are important at his age.
Ibrahim lives in a modest rented house with his parents and a sister. His father is unemployed right now and they are managing their living expenses with the financial support of their relatives. Each day is a struggle for them as they barely manage to put food on the table and meet other necessities. Ibrahim’s life-changing surgery is costly and they don’t have the means to afford the surgery. During this challenging time, Ibrahim’s parents have turned to Transparent Hands and asked us to register his case.
Ibrahim’s parents expressed their heartfelt plea as follows:
“As parents, it’s extremely difficult for us to see our son struggle to communicate even about his basic needs. Other children of his age enjoy the precious moments of their childhood fully but Ibrahim is unable to do so. We ask you to kindly enable our son to hear and respond to our voices.”
Ibrahim wants to explore the world and live a life where he doesn’t have to sit quietly with his friends. He deserves to hear and speak like them, and only you can provide him with the opportunity to overcome his deafness and start listening like other children.
Your donations can change his life. Come forward and provide Ibrahim with the gift of sounds.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Mohammad Ibrahim Farhan's Story
Mohammad Ibrahim Farhan, a 6-year-old boy from Karachi, has been living in a world of silence since birth. At an age when most children begin to explore sounds, develop speech, and connect with the world through words, Ibrahim remained unresponsive. He had never heard the voices of his parents, leaving his family deeply concerned and heartbroken. Alarmed by his lack of response to sounds, Ibrahim’s parents took him to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. After thorough testing and examinations, the doctor diagnosed him with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. The doctor recommended cochlear implant surgery as the only way to provide Ibrahim access to sounds. However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond his family’s financial means. Ibrahim lives in a small rented house with his parents and a younger sister. His father is currently unemployed, and the family is surviving on the limited financial support of relatives. With no steady income, even basic expenses are difficult to manage. Affording to pay for this expensive surgery was beyond their means. During this time of despair, Ibrahim’s family reached out to Transparent Hands. His case was registered promptly. With the support of generous donors, his cochlear implant surgery was arranged. On May 24, 2025, Ibrahim was admitted to Razia Saeed Hospital in Multan. On May 25, 2025, Dr. Maqbool Ahmed skillfully inserted the internal component of the cochlear implant. After receiving the necessary post-operative care, Ibrahim was discharged in stable condition on March 27, 2025. Ibrahim’s external component of the cochlear device will be installed six weeks after his surgery. Once the device is activated, he will begin speech therapy sessions to help him gradually develop listening and speaking skills. With visible emotions, his parents said: “We were heartbroken watching our child live in silence. Your support has given us new hope that Ibrahim will hear our voices and begin to speak after the implantation of the external device. We can’t thank you enough for this life-changing gift.” Thanks to your compassion, Ibrahim has taken the first vital step towards hearing and connecting with the world around him. Your generosity can never be forgotten.
