Aliza Imran's Story

Aliza Imran, a 3-year-old girl from Sahiwal, has been living in complete silence since birth. While other children respond with excitement to their parents’ voices and the sounds of the world around them, Aliza struggles to communicate. She does not turn when her mother calls her name, nor does she react to loud noises. Her parents took her for a medical evaluation. After undergoing some tests, Aliza was diagnosed with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. The only way for her to hear and develop speech is through cochlear implant surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond her financial reach.

If Aliza doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, she might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak. The earlier she receives the cochlear implant, the better her chances of speech and language development which are essential at her age.

Aliza lives with her parents and siblings in a small house. Her father, a police employee, works hard to provide for his family, earning PKR 45,000 per month. With utility bills amounting to PKR 3500, educational expenses of PKR 10,000, and a burdensome loan of PKR 200,000, they are struggling to make ends meet. Despite their best efforts, they cannot afford the life-changing cochlear implant surgery that Aliza desperately needs. Left with no other option, her parents have reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help.

Aliza’s family said in despair:

“Every day, we watch her child miss out on the sounds that bring joy to other children. A cochlear implant can unlock a world of possibilities for her, but our financial situation makes it feel impossible.”

Your generosity can change Aliza’s life. With your support, she can hear her parents’ voices, learn to speak, and grow up just like other children. Let’s join hands to give her the gift of sounds, the gift of communication, and the gift of a healthier future.

Aliza Imran's Story

Aliza Imran, a 3-year-old girl from Sahiwal, has lived in complete silence since birth. While other children laugh, respond to their names, and engage with the world through sounds, Aliza remained distant. She was unable to hear her parents’ voices or even loud noises. Her parents took her for a medical evaluation. After running some detailed tests, the doctors diagnosed Aliza with congenital sensorineural hearing loss—a condition that prevents the transmission of sound signals to the brain. The doctor informed her parents that the only effective treatment to help Aliza hear and eventually develop speech was a cochlear implant surgery. However, her family couldn’t afford the surgery.

Aliza lives in a small house with her parents and siblings. Her father, employed in the police department, earns PKR 45,000 per month. Despite working hard to support his family, he could not afford the high cost of the cochlear implant surgery. During their search for help, Aliza’s family found Transparent Hands and they contacted us. Understanding the nature and significance of her condition, we promptly registered her case.

On March 24, 2025, Aliza was admitted to Evercare Hospital, Lahore. Dr. Imran Saeed performed the successful implantation of the internal component of the cochlear device. Aliza received post-operative care and was discharged one day after the surgery.

Six weeks later, the external component of the cochlear implant was installed. Aliza is now attending regular speech therapy sessions to develop language skills.

Her family expressed their heartfelt emotions as follows:

"Watching her respond to sounds for the first time brought tears to our eyes. This change was only possible because of your kindness. Thank you for giving Aliza the chance to live a normal and joyful life."

Aliza’s world is no longer silent, and her future is brighter than ever. Your generosity has opened the door to a life full of sounds, speech, and possibilities.

Her family is thankful to you for making it happen.
