Asif Ullah's Story

In the town of Lakki Marwat, a fateful accident changed the course of Asif Ullah’s life. One moment, he found himself in the path of a truck, and the next, he was rushed to the hospital, his leg crushed in the devastating collision. After a thorough evaluation and initial first aid, the doctor could not save his leg and then had to amputate his left leg above the knee. The doctor recommended above-knee prosthesis to regain mobility.

Asif, a 25-year-old resident, resides in a rented house in Lakki Marwat with his loving wife and three young children. Their two-room abode, rented for PKR. 5,000 per month, is a humble sanctuary they call home. Asif, working as a daily wage laborer and a roti maker, earns a limited monthly income of PKR. 20,000. However, the weight of the financial crisis bears down on him, making it impossible to afford the crucial treatment he desperately needs.

Asif’s family, consisting of his devoted wife and three young children, relies solely on his income. The monthly expenses, including school fees amounting to PKR. 1,000, leaving little room for savings. Additionally, they face the daunting task of repaying a loan of PKR. 300,000, adding further strain to their already fragile financial situation.

Asif said with a heavy heart, “I never imagined my life would take such a painful turn. The accident has left me disabled and shattered. The burden of medical expenses weighs heavily on us, and I fear we may never break free from this cycle of hardship. Kindly donate to regain mobility.”

Transparent Hands has launched a fundraising campaign to secure the necessary funds for Asif’s medical treatment and rehabilitation. We appeal to the kindness and compassion of donors to help Asif reclaim his independence and mobility.

Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
