Help Aiza to Hear
Syeda Aiza Hashmi's Story
Syeda Aiza Hashmi is a 3-year-old girl residing in Karachi. Unfortunately, she has been facing hearing loss since birth, which has presented numerous challenges in her young life. Her mother discovered her hearing impairment when Aiza was just a year old. After undergoing diagnostic tests, the doctors recommended cochlear implant surgery as the best solution. However, Aiza’s family is currently facing financial difficulties, and they are unable to cover the expenses for the necessary treatment.
Aiza’s family lives in their own house in Karachi, along with her mother and four siblings. Her mother is the sole caretaker of the family and the only earner, with a monthly income of approximately PKR 150,000 from a private job. However, after covering the costs of utility bills, educational expenses, and daily necessities, there is no room in the budget to afford the surgical expenses for Aiza.
Aiza’s mother said with teary eyes:
As a mother, it’s deeply painful to watch my daughter face the challenges of hearing loss. I long for the moment when she can fully hear the world’s sounds and speak freely. With your help, we can make this dream come true for Aiza.”
In this time of need, Aiza’s family has approached Transparent Hands, seeking assistance in their journey to restore her hearing. We are dedicated to this cause and are determined to raise the necessary funds to help Aiza undergo cochlear implant surgery.
