Jahanzaib Sultan's Story

Jahanzaib Sultan has been feeling pain while walking for four years. The pain has become unbearable. His financial situation is the only hurdle standing between him and the treatment he needs. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Jahanzaib Sultan’s knee replacement surgery. You can help Jahanzaib walk again.

Jahanzaib Sultan, a 66-year-old resident of Sher Garh, has been suffering from pain in both knees while walking. He went to the doctor and after some basic tests and an X-ray, he was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis involving both knees. Osteoarthritis is a condition that causes the cartilage in the knee joint to thin out. As a consequence, the surfaces of the joint become roughened and create friction. As a result, the movement becomes painful, and the joint becomes stiff. Jahanzaib is not able to get up or walk due to this painful condition.

To treat this condition, the orthopedic surgeon has advised Jahanzaib to undergo a total knee replacement surgery. It is a surgical procedure to replace the weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint to relieve pain. He needs to undergo a right knee replacement surgery first. While knee replacement seems like an easy solution to all of Jahanzaib’s problems, it is certainly not an affordable solution for him. Jahanzaib cannot afford the hefty cost of this surgery.

Due to his deteriorating health, he has become financially dependent on his son who works and earns just PKR 30,000 per month. Since he has to pay the rent and take care of other household expenses, he is not able to afford the hefty cost of his father’s surgery.

“My knees hurt while walking. I can’t support my family. There are days when I find it difficult to get up from my bed. Please help me regain mobility.”

After a lot of distress, Jahanzaib has requested Transparent Hands for help. We have assured him that we will arrange his surgery as soon as possible. Now, all we need is your support. Even a small donation from you can help Jahanzaib walk again. We urge you to donate as much as you can.
