Help Muhammad Arshad Walk Again

Muhammad Arshad's Story
Muhammad Arshad’s painful disease has put a halt to his daily life. He is in immense pain right now, unable to walk or lift himself from the bed. Donate for his hip replacement surgery and help Muhammad Arshad walk again.
“Muhammad Arshad is like my brother. I have been seeing him in immense pain for the last three years. He puts up a brave face, but I know the kind of trouble he is in. Please help him get up on his feet. It is a sister’s request.” -Muhammad Arshad’s cousin.
Muhammad Arshad has been unable to walk and lift weight for the last three years. The immense pain of his hip joints has also restricted his movement. Due to the consistent pain and discomfort, he went to a doctor. After thorough examination and tests, the doctor diagnosed Muhammad Arshad with osteoarthritis. In osteoarthritis, the cartilage in the hip joint gradually wears away over time. As the cartilage wears away, it becomes frayed and rough, and the protective joint space between the bones decreases. Surgery is the only option of permanent cure.
To treat this, the doctor has recommended him to undergo total hip replacement surgery. In a total hip replacement, the orthopedic surgeon removes the damaged bone and cartilage and replaces it with prosthetic components. At first, the surgeon will perform surgery of the left hip. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for his surgery and help Muhammad Arshad walk again.
Muhammad Arshad’s condition has not allowed him to work. Hence he is unemployed. Currently, he is dependent on his cousin. Due to his unemployment, he is no longer able to arrange his surgery. Therefore, he has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We are determined to get him back on his feet. However, we need your support for that. Please donate for his surgery and help Muhammad Arshad walk again. Donate now!
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.

Muhammad Arshad's Story
Muhammad Arshad, 43 years old, suffered from severe pain in both of his hip joints. Consequently, he had a very restricted range of movement and could not bear weight or walk properly. The problem started around three years ago and worsened over time. On medical consultation, he was diagnosed with osteoarthritis affecting both of his hip joints. The doctors advised hip replacement surgery as Arshad’s condition did not improve with medicines. Instead, the pain became unbearable for him. His right hip joint was replaced with the help of Transparent Hands. Presently, he required undergoing left hip joint replacement surgery. For this purpose, Arshad was admitted to Akram Medical Complex and his surgery was performed by Dr. Naveed Ali Sher on 12.02.2021. He stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a stable condition. The constant pain and discomfort have subsided in Arshad’s joint since he has had the surgery. He is also able to walk long distances now and climb stairs.
