Sajjawal Imran's Story

8 years old Sajjawal Imran had been complaining about pain in his eyes for a long time. Along with pain, he suffered from short-sightedness. At first, her mother did not pay much attention to it. Later, when the pain did not subside, she took him to a hospital. The doctor diagnosed Sajjawal with a bilateral developmental Cataract. A Cataract is an opacification of the lens of the eye, which leads to a decrease in vision. Usually, this condition is found in people who have grown weary with age. Sajjawal Imran is a rather unfortunate 10 years old to go through that. To help Sajjawal Imran see clearly, the doctor has advised him to undergo a Phaco & IOL surgery on the right eye as soon as possible. Phacoemulsification is a method of cataract surgery in which the defected lens is replaced with an artificial lens.

Unfortunately, Sajjawal’s father passed away 3 years ago. His grief-stricken mother is unable to work. Therefore, the household expenses and responsibility befalls the meek shoulders of Sajjawal Imran’s grandmother. She works as a house help and hardly earns PKR 12000 per month. In these measly financial circumstances, she is in no position to bear the cost of her grandson’s surgery. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for his eye surgery and help Sajjawal Imran see clearly.

“Our bad times started when my son passed away three years ago. I work as a house help in other people’s homes to feed my grandchildren. My grandson Sajjawal has a lot of potential, but his disease has become an obstacle in his way. Please help him get rid of it. Please help Sajjawal Imran see clearly.” -Sajjawal Imran’s Grandmother.

At last, his parents have registered her case with Transparent Hands. We are hopeful that your kind donations will help Sajjawal Imran see clearly. Please donate now!
