Muhammad Yahya's Story

In the peaceful town of Malakand, a vibrant and resilient four-year-old, Muhammad Yahya, lives a life shrouded in silence. Unable to respond to the sounds that fill the air, he yearns for the melodies of laughter and the comforting voices of his loved ones. Muhammad Yahya dreams of experiencing the world in all its auditory beauty, to join in the symphony of life that surrounds him.

Hope beckoned  Yahya’s family on their journey to find a solution. It was during this search that they discovered the life-transforming potential of cochlear implant surgery. This remarkable procedure could provide Muhammad Yahya with the gift of hearing, allowing him to embrace the richness of sound and engage with the world in profound ways.

However, the financial realities that Yahya’s family faces cast a shadow over their hopes and dreams. Living in their own house with nine family members, they face the challenges of managing a big household with a monthly income of just 30,000 PKR. Despite the efforts of three earning members, this amount falls short of meeting their basic needs. The weight of 4,000 PKR utility bills and daily expenses adds to their struggle. Muhammad Yahya’s father finds himself helpless and overwhelmed by the circumstances, feeling the weight of his son’s silent world on his shoulders.

Yahya’s father expresses his deep sorrow:

“My heart aches for my son, wishing for him a life where he can freely engage and find joy in connections. Yet, our financial plight casts a shadow over these hopes, leaving me in despair.”
