Horain Bakhtiar, aged 5 years, is a resident of Swabi. She has been suffering from hearing loss since birth. Her parents were unaware of this till 1 year of her birth. When they noticed that she did not respond to her name. Her parents took her to the nearest hospital where, after evaluation, the doctors diagnosed her with sensorineural hearing loss. Then the doctor advised her for a cochlear implant surgery. In a cochlear implant surgery, an electronic device is implanted surgically which helps the patient to get the sense of sound.

Now, Horain Bakhtiar’s parents want their daughter’s cochlear implant surgery done. But their financial conditions are the only hurdles in between.

Horain Bakhtiar’s parents live in a small house. Her father has to support a family of 7 members. He is a laborer and he merely earns PKR. 18,000 per month. he hardly makes the both ends meet. There is no way that Horain’s father can manage even half of the expenses.
