Balqees Bibi's Story

Balqees Bibi, a 67-year-old resident of Lahore, is suffering from a cataract in her right eye. The impairment in her vision has caused significant challenges in her daily life, making it difficult for her to see clearly. The doctor has recommended Right Phaco + Intraocular Lens (IOL) surgery to address her condition and improve her vision.

Balqees Bibi, who resides in a rented house with her husband and seven children, is facing extreme difficulty due to her impaired vision. Financially, she relies on her sons, who collectively earn around PKR 50,000 monthly. However, due to their limited resources, they are unable to afford the expenses associated with the necessary surgical procedure.

In addition to the surgical expenses, Balqees Bibi’s sons have to manage the daily expenses, house rent amounting to PKR 5,000, utility bills of PKR 4,000, and school fees of PKR 6,000. With all these financial responsibilities, it is challenging for them to cover the costs of the surgery.

Balqees Bibi said in despair:

“Every day, I struggle with the burden of my impaired vision. All I want is to see clearly and experience the world around me. It would make such a difference in my life and for my seven children. I am reaching out to you with hope, seeking assistance in this difficult situation.”
