Let’s Help Zohra Overcome Abdominal Pain

Zohra Fazal's Story
Zohra Fazal, a 35-year-old woman from Karachi, has been suffering from pain in her right upper abdominal region for three years. She also experiences nausea, vomiting, and indigestion of fatty meals. Zohra is a mother of six children, and she finds it extremely challenging to care for them while also managing her daily routine and household tasks. After bearing persistent pain and discomfort for a long time, Zohra decided to consult a specialist. The doctor performed an ultrasound scan and some lab tests, and diagnosed Zohra with Cholelithiasis – the formation of hard mineral deposits in the gallbladder. To treat this issue, her doctor advised laparoscopic cholecystectomy. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond her financial means.
If Zohra doesn’t undergo surgery soon, her health may continue to decline because of inadequate dietary intake. Additionally, ongoing medications will upset her stomach, preventing her from enjoying a healthy diet.
Zohra lives in a modest rented house with her husband and six children, three of whom are currently studying in a government school. Zohra is a housewife and her husband is the sole breadwinner in the family. He works as a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 27000 per month. This income is extremely insufficient to cover their house rent of PKR 12000 and utility bills amounting to PKR 5000. Adding to their concerns is their staggering loan of PKR 300,000. They experience extreme financial hardships and can’t pay for Zohra’s much-needed surgery. During this time of need, Zohra turned to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Zohra said in despair:
“For a long time, I have been unable to give my full attention to my children or spend quality time with them. I remain ill and can’t live a healthy life. I am asking for your support to undergo this surgery. My life is getting worse. Please help me during this hard time.”
Zohra’s life will get better with your help. Your contributions can provide relief to Zohra and her family, allowing her to lead a healthier and happier life. Together, we can restore Zohra’s health and help her reclaim her life with new hope.

Zohra Fazal's Story
Zohra Fazal, a 35-year-old woman from Karachi, had been suffering from persistent pain in her upper right abdominal region for the past three years. Along with the pain, she experienced frequent episodes of nausea, vomiting, and difficulty digesting fatty foods. These symptoms made it extremely difficult for her to manage her household responsibilities and care for her six children. Concerned for her health, Zohra finally consulted a specialist at a local hospital. After performing an ultrasound scan and conducting necessary lab tests, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis. The doctor advised a laparoscopic cholecystectomy—a surgery to remove the gallbladder.
Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was more than Zohra and her family could afford. Zohra lives in a modest rented house with her husband and six children. Three of her children are enrolled in a government school. She depends entirely on her husband, who works as a daily wage laborer and earns only PKR 27,000 per month. After covering rent, school fees, and basic expenses, there was nothing left for medical treatment. Zohra tried to manage her condition with painkillers and dietary adjustments, but her symptoms kept returning.During this difficult time, Zohra turned to Transparent Hands for assistance. After reviewing her case, we registered her and made arrangements for her surgery.
On February 17, 2025, Zohra was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Mariam successfully performed the laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The procedure went smoothly, and Zohra was discharged in stable condition on February 19, 2025.
Zohra shared her gratitude as follows:
“I had lost hope of living without pain. This surgery has brought so much relief. I can now take care of my children without constant suffering. Thank you for making this surgery possible for me.”
Today, Zohra is healing well and has returned to her routine.
She and her family are deeply grateful to you for making her recovery possible.
