Muhammad Anwar's Story

Before you dive into the gory details of Muhammad Anwar’s ailment, I want you to know that you can help him walk normally again. Please donate for Muhammad Anwar’s prosthesis placement as generously as possible.

Muhammad Anwar, aged 58 years, a resident of Lahore had an accident 1.5 years ago and got a leg injury. The patient was taken to the hospital and the doctor gave him treatment. But due to carelessness, his wound got cancerous. Later, he went to the hospital again and the doctor diagnosed him with squamous cell carcinoma. It is a form of skin cancer. The doctors had to amputate his right leg above knee level to stop the spread of the disease. Now, he needs a prosthesis placement for his right leg above knee prosthesis.

Prosthesis placement is an expensive procedure. Muhammad Anwar is a daily wager and he merely earns PKR. 20,000 per month. With this little income,  he hardly puts the food on the table. He is a daily wager and he could not afford the hefty costs of the surgery. He told us:

“1.5 years ago I had an accident, I had the treatment. This was not even in the worst of my dreams that the doctors will have to amputate my leg. This amputation got me sitting in my home doing nothing. I am not working and if I continue to do so then how will I feed my family? I have hopes in Transparent Hands now.”

Muhammad Anwar’s case has been registered with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we would arrange his surgery as soon as possible. But, it won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Muhammad Anwar’s prosthesis placement as much as possible and help him walk again normally to do his daily chores.
