Muzamil Needs Heart Surgery to Survive
Muzamil Hussain's Story
Muzamil Hussain, a 2-year-old boy from Rahim Yar Khan, has been suffering from breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. He is unable to gain proper weight, and his skin and lips often turn blue. Even mild activity like crawling or playing leaves him breathless and fatigued. Worried about their son’s condition, Muzamil’s parents took him to a local hospital. After performing a series of diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed Muzamil with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious congenital heart defect that affects blood flow through the heart. The only way to improve Muzamil’s condition and save his life is through TOF repair surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is far beyond his family’s reach.
Without the recommended surgery, Muzamil’s condition will only worsen. It may lead to severe complications, and he will not be able to beat the disease.
Muzamil lives in a small rented house with his parents and siblings. His father works as a laborer, earning just PKR 20,000 per month. From this modest income, they spend PKR 4000 on house rent and PKR 1500 on utility bills. They face immense financial hardships and hardly make ends meet. With little left for daily expenses and no savings, affording the cost of their son’s heart surgery is impossible for them. During this time of need, his family contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Muzamil’s mother said:
“Every breath my son takes is a struggle. I feel helpless watching him suffer. He deserves a chance to run, play, and live without pain. However, we can’t afford his life-saving surgery. Kindly save our son’s life.”
Your support will enable him to live a life free from heart complications. Let’s stand together to give this little boy the bright and happy future he truly deserves.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.

Muzamil Hussain's Story
Muzamil Hussain, a 3-year-old boy from Rahim Yar Khan, had been struggling with severe health issues since birth. His parents noticed early on that he would become breathless and fatigued even while crawling or playing. He was unable to gain proper weight, and his skin and lips often turned blue. Worried about his condition, his parents took him to a local hospital. After a series of diagnostic tests and a detailed evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Muzamil with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a serious congenital heart defect that affects the flow of oxygenated blood in the body. The only solution to save his life and improve his condition was a TOF repair surgery. However, the cost of such a complex procedure was far beyond the family’s financial capacity.
Muzamil lives in a small rented house with his parents and siblings. His father works as a laborer, earning only PKR 20,000 per month. From this limited income, they barely covered their house rent and utility bills. It left the family with no room for medical expenses. Affording life-saving surgery for their little boy seemed impossible. During their time of need, Muzamil’s family reached out to Transparent Hands. After listening to their concerns, we promptly registered his case.
Muzamil was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital on May 22, 2025. Dr. Salman A. Shah successfully performed the TOF repair surgery on the next day. Muzamil received post-operative care and was discharged in good health on May 27, 2025.
With tears of joy, Muzamil’s parents said:
“Every day, we feared losing him. Seeing him struggle to breathe and grow weaker broke our hearts. Thanks to your support, he’s now recovering and living a healthy life. We’ll never forget your kindness.”
Muzamil can now breathe with ease, gains weight steadily, and engages in playful activities like other children of his age.
This remarkable recovery was only possible because of your generosity and the invaluable support of PCHF. Muzamil’s family is forever grateful for your kind support.
