Muhammad Nazeer's Story

Muhammad Nazeer, a 47-year-old man from Kasur, has been suffering from a growing pain. What began as a small lump in his right groin has now turned into a painful swelling that extends into his scrotum. This discomfort increases when he stands for long hours at work. Recently, Nazeer went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. Upon medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with a Right Inguinal Hernia, a condition where abdominal tissues push through a weak spot in the groin area. The doctor has recommended Right Inguinal Herniorrhaphy, a surgical procedure that is essential to relieve his pain. However, Nazeer can’t afford his surgery.

Not undergoing the surgery may lead to further complications such as strangulation of the hernia, where the blood supply to the intestine is cut off. This may cause severe pain, infection, and potentially life-threatening damage to his intestines, requiring emergency surgery.

Nazeer lives in a modest home with his wife and four children. He works as a laborer and earns PKR 20,000 per month. His monthly income barely covers their basic needs, including utility bills of PKR 2000 and educational expenses of PKR 7000 for his children. He dreams of a life where he can work without pain and continue supporting his loved ones with dignity. However, his financial hardships stand in his way of recovery.

Nazeer said in despair:

“I’ve spent months with this pain, but it’s getting harder every day. I’m afraid I won’t be able to keep working if this continues. I need your support to get this surgery and live a normal, and pain-free life again.”
