Qirat Danish is an innocent little girl suffering from a deadly heart disease. She is just three years old, but she has experienced more suffering than many adults. She needs a life-saving surgery, but her parents are unable to afford it. Therefore, we request you to donate for Qirat Danish’s ASD closure and restore the smile on this little girl’s face.
Qirat Danish, a resident of Lahore, has been suffering from shortness of breath on mild exertion, weakness, and inability to gain weight since her birth. Her parents decided to take her to the doctor for a medical evaluation. Upon medical evaluation, the cardiologist diagnosed her with a hole in her heart. This condition is referred to as (ASD). ASD is a heart condition in which a hole exists in the cardiac septum that separates the upper two atrial chambers. The doctor told Qirat Danish’s parents that she needs to undergo ASD Closure. ASD closure is a surgical procedure in which the hole in the heart is closed. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints Qirat Danish and her family are struggling to afford this major surgery.
Qirat’s father is a private job holder with a monthly income of just PKR 50,000. As the sole earner in the family and with a family of eight to support, he is unable to afford the hefty cost of his daughter’s surgery.
Her father narrated his distress in the following words:
“I want my little girl to smile, play, run, and go to school like all the other girls her age. But I know that she’s facing a life-threatening heart disease. My financial constraints make me feel helpless. Please save my daughter.”

Qirat Danish's Story
Three-year-old Qirat Danish, a resident of Lahore, had been suffering from weakness and inability to gain weight since birth. Upon consultation and workup, she was diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). The doctor advised Qirat Danish to undergo Closure of Atrial Septal Defect after open heart surgery. Hence, she was sent to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital for her procedure. Her surgery was performed by Dr. Faiz Rasool on 29-03-2022. Her surgery was successful and she was discharged after three days of hospital stay in satisfactory condition. She has now recovered and is looking forward to a bright future.
