Restore Maryam Bibi’s Smile
Maryam Bibi's Story
Maryam Bibi, a 64-year-old resident of Lahore, was suffering from excruciating pain in her teeth. The pain intensified while chewing, accompanied by a foul smell. Concerned about her deteriorating condition, Maryam sought the help of a dentist, who diagnosed her with dental caries. Given the severity of the issue, the dentist recommended tooth extraction and a removable partial denture as the necessary treatment.
Desperate to alleviate her unbearable pain, Maryam diligently followed the dentist’s advice and tried various medications. Unfortunately, her tooth pain only worsened with each passing day. Realizing the urgency of the situation, Maryam sought re-evaluation and the dentist advised X-rays to further assess her condition. The results confirmed the need for tooth extraction to provide relief and prevent further complications.
Maryam lives in her own house in Lahore with her two children and her husband, who is working on daily wages, earning only PKR 15,000. Despite their limited income, the family faces financial commitments, including utility bills amounting to PKR 3,000 and educational expenses of PKR 2,000. Maryam Bibi's Story
Maryam Bibi, a 64-year-old woman from Lahore, had been suffering from severe tooth pain for a long time. This condition affected her ability to eat, speak, and sleep. Each day became a struggle as she experienced pain, foul smell, and discomfort while chewing. Despite trying various pain relief medicines and visiting local clinics multiple times, her condition only worsened with time. Eventually, Maryam decided to seek proper medical help. She visited a dental specialist, who conducted a thorough examination and a few diagnostic tests. After evaluating her condition, the doctor diagnosed her with Dental Caries, a progressive tooth decay that damages the structure of the tooth and can lead to infection if left untreated. The doctor recommended a tooth extraction followed by a removable partial denture to restore her ability to chew properly and relieve her pain. However, her family couldn’t afford her treatment.
Maryam lives in a small home in Lahore with her husband and two children. Her husband works as a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 15,000 per month. During this time of need, her family reached out to Transparent Hands for assistance. After listening to their concerns, we registered her case.
On July 22, 2025, Maryam underwent her dental procedure at Life Hospital in Lahore. Following the treatment, Maryam experienced significant relief and was finally free from the dental issue.
Maryam shared her happiness as follows: “My tooth pain had become unbearable, and I couldn’t even chew food properly. Every day was a struggle, and I felt helpless. You supported my treatment, and I am finally free from pain. I can smile and eat again without discomfort. I’m deeply grateful for your generosity.”
Maryam has now recovered well. She can eat comfortably and go about her daily routine without pain. She is grateful to you for restoring her comfort and confidence.
