Sairam Noman's Story

Sairam Noman, aged three, who belongs to Poonch, Azad Kashmir, is facing a daunting challenge. Sairam’s parents were devastated to discover that their precious son was suffering from hearing loss when he was just one year old. They immediately sought medical help, and after several diagnostic tests, the doctor recommended a hearing device. However, due to financial constraints, Sairam’s parents were unable to afford the device, leaving their beloved son in a world of silence.

Despite their hardships, Sairam’s parents never lost hope. They tirelessly sought out alternative solutions, and finally, a glimmer of hope emerged when the doctor advised them about the potential benefits of a cochlear implant. This life-changing surgery has the power to restore Sairam’s hearing, allowing him to experience the wonders of sound and enabling him to communicate with the world around him.

Unfortunately, the high cost of cochlear implant surgery looms as an insurmountable obstacle for Sairam’s family. His father works as a daily wager, struggling to meet the basic needs of his family. The burden of the surgery’s expense is simply beyond their means, leaving Sairam’s future in an unstable position.

Sairam’s father said in despair:

As a daily wage earner, I cannot bear the overwhelming cost of the surgery, but with your kindness, we can give Sairam the chance to study, grow, and thrive in life.”
