Muhammad Ali's Story

Muhammad Ali, a 2-year-old boy from Sialkot, has been fighting a silent battle since birth. His tiny chest rises and falls rapidly as he struggles to breathe, and his little body experiences constant discomfort. Every time Ali cries or plays, he gasps for air. Worried about their son’s health, his parents recently took him to a nearby hospital. After performing a series of medical tests, the doctor diagnosed Ali with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex congenital heart defect that affects blood flow through the heart. The doctor has recommended a TOF repair surgery to save his life. Unfortunately, his family is unable to pay for his surgery.

Without this surgery, Ali’s condition will continue to deteriorate. It may lead to severe complications such as delayed growth, and heart failure.

Ali lives in a small rented house in Sialkot with his parents and a younger sibling. His father works as a laborer, earning only PKR 20,000 per month. Out of this meager income, they pay PKR 6500 for house rent and PKR 3000 for utility bills, barely managing their basic needs. The financial strain of supporting a family of four leaves them with no savings, and the cost of Ali’s surgery is far beyond their reach. The thought of losing their beloved son due to financial hardships is a heartbreaking reality they face every day.

Ali’s parents said in despair:

“Our little Ali is too young to face such pain. It breaks our hearts to see him suffer every day. We want him to grow up healthy, play without discomfort, and have a healthy future. We cannot afford the surgery. Please help us save our son.”

Ali’s heart needs your support. Let’s stand together to ensure that Ali receives the life-saving surgery and gets a chance to live a happy and healthy life.

Muhammad Ali's Story

Muhammad Ali, a 2-year-old boy from Sialkot, was suffering from shortness of breath, cyanosis, and chest discomfort. Since birth, his life had been filled with challenges. He struggled to catch his breath while playing with his toys, crawling, and even crying. His parents were heartbroken to see him in this condition and they took him to a nearby hospital. After a detailed medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Ali with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). To repair his heart defects, the doctor advised TOF repair surgery. Unfortunately, the surgical cost was overwhelming for his family.

Ali lived in a modest rented home with his parents and a sibling. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and made just PKR 20,000 per month. Supporting a family of four under such financial conditions was challenging. The fear of losing their precious child because they could not afford his treatment was an unbearable burden for them. During their darkest hour, they turned to Transparent Hands for help. Recognizing the gravity of his situation, we quickly registered Ali’s case.

With the incredible generosity of donors and the collaboration of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation, Ali was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital on March 17, 2025. On March 18, 2025, Dr. Salman performed the life-saving open-heart surgery to repair the defects. After receiving attentive postoperative care in the ICU, Ali’s health steadily improved. He was discharged in stable condition on March 21, 2025.

Ali’s parents, with tears of relief and gratitude, shared:

“Our hearts were filled with fear, but your support gave us hope when we had none. You not only saved our little boy’s life but also saved our family from unimaginable heartbreak. Words are not enough to thank you for the gift you have given our son and our family. We will forever pray for you.”

Your contributions gave Muhammad Ali a future filled with hope, dreams, and possibilities.
