Shamim Uddin's Story

Before you proceed to read about the details of Shamimuddin’s cardiac ailment, please know that you can help him. Your donation, however small it may be, will relieve an ailing heart. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Shamimuddin’s Angiography and PCI as much as you can.

Shamimuddin, forty two years old, a resident of Karachi felt a searing pain in his chest. At first, the doctor gave him oral medication. Later, he visited a medical camp and his tests were done there and he was diagnosed with severe unstable Angina. Severe unstable Angina is another word for heart-related chest pain that occurs due to inadequate blood supply to the heart muscles. The doctor then advised him for PCI and Angiography. Angiography is an imaging test that visualizes the arteries of the heart and PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) is a family of different procedures used to open clogged arteries by restoring blood flow.

Unfortunately, Shamimuddin cannot afford the hefty cost of an Angiography and PCI. He is a baker in a small restaurant. He earns PKR. 5000 a month. He has 2 kids and a wife to feed and with this meager income, it is very difficult to do. He cannot afford his Angiography and PCI He told us:

“I cannot bear this pain. It has made me afraid. I cannot spell my disease name but I am getting a feeling that I will not be able to fight it because I cannot afford the surgery. But Transparent Hands has assured me that they will support me. Please help me and donate for my case.”

As per his doctor’s advice, Shamimuddin has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we would arrange his cardiac procedure for free. But, that won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Shamimuddin’s Angiography and PCI.
