Afzan was born with Sensorineural deafness. His parents cannot afford to pay for the surgical treatment. They need your help to give their son the ability to hear. With your contribution, he will be able to respond to sounds. He has not heard anything since birth. He hasn’t even heard the voices of his parents. Four-year-old Afzan, a resident of Gujranwala, was born without the ability to hear. His parents noticed this and took him to the hospital for a consultation when he was a year old. After going through multiple hearing tests, the doctor diagnosed Afzan with Sensorineural Hearing Loss. His parents were shocked. The doctor advised him to undergo cochlear implant surgery, the only option for a permanent cure. A cochlear implant is a surgically implanted neuroprosthetic device that has internal and external components. One is surgically implanted in the ear, and the external component is installed a few weeks after the surgery.

Afzan lives with his parents and five siblings. His father earns just PKR 35,000 per month. He is the sole earner in the family. He has no other source of income. He is not financially stable enough to afford the hefty cost of the Cochlear implant Surgery. He said in a depressed tone:

“It is depressing whenever I see his blank face due to his inability to communicate. I want to do everything I can to help him, but financial constraints prevent me from doing so. Your financial support can give him a chance to hear and socialize.”
