Kanwal Naz's Story
Kanwal Naz is a 37-year-old woman from Multan who is currently pregnant with her fourth child. Her previous pregnancy experiences have been challenging. Eight years ago, she underwent a C-section and gave birth to a daughter with Down syndrome. Unfortunately, three years later, Kanwal suffered a miscarriage due to excessive bleeding. Two years after that, she experienced another miscarriage, with the baby showing no signs of growth. These complications have left Kanwal physically weak.
Now, in the 30th week of her current pregnancy, Kanwal visited her doctor, who, considering her past complications, recommended a C-section procedure for safe delivery. However, the financial circumstances of Kanwal’s family have posed additional hurdles. Her husband used to have a private job, but he had to leave it. He then opened a shop, but it was eventually lost, forcing him to become a daily wage laborer, earning only 15,000 PKR per month. The family resides in their own 5 Marla house in a village near Multan, living in a joint family. Their financial condition is far from ideal, as they struggle to make ends meet.
With utility bills amounting to 2,000 PKR and limited resources, the family is unable to afford the necessary expenses for Kanwal’s surgical procedure, medicines, and nutritious diet. In this crucial time, Kanwal’s hope for a safe delivery is at stake due to financial constraints.

Kanwal Naz's Story
Kanwal Naz, a 37-year-old woman from Multan, had been facing a challenging situation in her life. Due to her previous complications, including two miscarriages and a C-Section, Kanwal was concerned about her pregnancy and wanted to welcome her unborn child into this world safely. After evaluating her condition, the doctor recommended an elective C-section procedure for safe delivery.
Her family was facing financial hardships and could not afford to pay for the C-section procedure. Her husband has a meager income of PKR 15,000 per month. They were struggling to make ends meet and had no option other than to seek help.
A kind relative told them about Transparent Hands and Kanwal’s family contacted us for help.
We registered her case and she was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Trust Teaching Hospital. On 8th June 2024, her C-section procedure was successfully performed and Kanwal delivered a healthy baby boy. The expertise of Dr. Hina Zahra made the operation a resounding success. During her two-day stay at the hospital, she received critical monitoring and post-operative care. On 10th June, she was discharged from the hospital. Kanwal’s newborn brought immense joy and relief to her and her family.
