Zain Ali's Story

Zain Ali, a 1-year-old boy from Islamabad, has been experiencing shortness of breath, cyanosis, and persistent chest discomfort since birth. Even the smallest movements tire him out, and he often gasps for air. His parents took him to a local doctor, who performed a thorough examination and diagnosed him with Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), and Pulmonary hypertension (PHT). The doctors advised Pulmonary Artery Banding – open heart surgery to treat this condition. However, the high cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s means.

Zain’s condition has been deteriorating. Without the required surgery, he is at risk of experiencing serious, life-threatening complications.

Zain lives in a small 2-marla home with five other family members. He has two siblings. His father holds a private job. Despite working very hard, he earns only PKR 30,000 per month, which is a meager amount that hardly covers the family’s living expenses. The financial position of Zain’s family didn’t allow them to pay for the life-saving surgery.

During this time of distress, his family reached out to Transparent Hands for assistance. Our team reviewed Zain’s case and registered it. His father said:

“Zain has been struggling since his birth. It is painful to see him like this. Children of his age are far more active and lively. But I am sure he will get better after the surgery. I am hopeful for his recovery, but I cannot bear the expenses of the surgery. Please help us!”

Zain’s family looks forward to your support. Your generosity and kindness can help Zain receive the necessary surgery and lead a healthy and normal life that he deserves. Let’s join hands to support Zain’s surgery.
