Tayyaba Awaits Cholecystectomy and Umbilical Hernia Repair

Tayyaba Bibi's Story
For the past seven years, Tayyaba Bibi, a 36-year-old woman from Karachi, has been suffering from upper right abdominal pain. Her condition is accompanied by nausea, and indigestion, especially after consuming fatty meals. Along with this, she also noticed a painful lump in her umbilical area that made her daily activities even more challenging. Recently, as the pain worsened, Tayyaba finally visited a hospital for a check-up. After performing an ultrasound scan and some lab tests, her doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis (gallstones) and Paraumbilical Hernia.
The gallstones have been causing constant abdominal pain and digestive issues, while the hernia has made even simple movements difficult. The doctor has advised Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery) and Umbilical Hernia Repair. However, the cost of this treatment is out of her family’s financial capacity.
Without these procedures, her condition will deteriorate further. It may lead to infections, intestinal blockages, and severe complications requiring emergency surgery.
Tayyaba lives in a modest home with her husband and four children. Her husband works as a driver in a private firm, earning just 32,000 PKR per month. With this limited income, he struggles to cover their basic needs, including utility bills amounting to PKR 3000 PKR and the school expenses of their children. With no savings and no one else to support them, the cost of Tayyaba’s surgery is beyond their reach.
Tayyaba said in despair:
“I have lived with this pain for years, but now it has become unbearable. I just want to be there for my children without struggling every day. Please help me get this surgery so I can live without pain and take care of my family.”
Tayyab longs to be a healthy and active mother for her children, to cook for them without pain, and to care for them without feeling exhausted. But each passing day without surgery brings her closer to severe complications.
Your generosity can give Tayyaba a chance to live a pain-free life and continue being the loving mother and wife she wishes to be. Contribute today to change her life.

Tayyaba Bibi's Story
Tayyaba Bibi, a 36-year-old woman from Karachi, was suffering from persistent upper right abdominal pain that often intensified after meals. Her symptoms, including nausea and indigestion, disrupted her daily life. Over time, she also developed a painful bulge near her belly button, making even simple tasks difficult. Concerned about her worsening condition, Tayyaba finally visited a local hospital. After a thorough medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis (gallstones) and a Paraumbilical Hernia. The doctor recommended a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) along with Umbilical Hernia Repair. However, the cost of the treatment was out of her family’s reach.
Tayyaba lived in a small home with her husband and four children. Her husband worked as a driver for a private company, earning only PKR 32,000 per month. Their limited income barely covered essential expenses like groceries and school fees for their children. The cost of the recommended surgeries was far beyond their means. Faced with growing pain and no financial solution, Tayyaba reached out to Transparent Hands for help. Moved by her story, we registered her case.
With the support of generous donors, Tayyaba was admitted to Altamash Hospital, Karachi. On April 8, 2025, Dr. Abdul Waheed successfully performed her surgeries. She remained under post-operative observation and received proper care. She was discharged in stable condition on April 10, 2025.
Tayyaba now feels relieved and is free from the constant pain that affected her for years. She shared her joy and gratitude with us as follows:
“I cannot describe how thankful I am. For years, I lived in discomfort. Now, because of your support, I feel like I’ve got my life back.”
Your generous contributions not only healed her body but also restored her hope and strength.
Together, we changed Tayyaba’s life, giving her a healthier and happier future.
