Syed Wilayat Shah's Story

Syed Wilayat Shah, a 74-year-old man from Mardan, KPK, has been suffering from constant chest pain for the last month. Concerned for his health, Wilayat consulted a doctor, who diagnosed him with Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD) – a condition where blood flow to the heart is reduced, and Triple Vessel Coronary Artery Disease (TVCAD) – blockages in three coronary arteries, severely affecting heart function. The doctor strongly recommended Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) to save his life. However, Wilayat can’t afford to pay for his surgery.

Without this surgery, Wilayat’s condition will worsen. It may lead to more severe heart complications and even the risk of a heart attack. The pain has already affected his daily life, limiting his ability to carry out routine activities. For a man of his age, the ongoing strain on his heart puts immense pressure on his health.

Wilayat lives in a small house with his two sons, who work at private companies and earn a combined monthly income of just PKR 60,000. With this limited income, they struggle to make ends meet. The family’s expenses include basic needs like food and utilities. It leaves them with nothing to afford the surgery that Wilayat desperately needs. His sons are deeply worried about their father’s condition. They fear that without the surgery, his health will continue to decline. They have approached Transparent Hands for assistance, hoping for a chance to give their father the much-needed care.

Wilayat said,

“The pain in my chest makes it difficult for me to carry out even simple tasks. My sons are doing their best to take care of me, but we cannot afford this surgery on our own.”

This cardiac surgery is essential to relieve his suffering and improve his quality of life. We need your generous support to help Wilayat undergo the life-saving surgery.
