Zeeshan Awaits Septoplasty

Muhammad Zeeshan's Story
Muhammad Zeeshan, a 17-year-old boy from Karachi, has been struggling with breathing difficulties since birth. He suffers from intermittent nasal blockage and repeated episodes of sinusitis, making it difficult for him to breathe comfortably. The constant discomfort has affected his daily activities, such as sleeping and playing with studying. Zeeshan was examined by doctors who diagnosed him with a Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS). A deviated septum occurs when the bone and cartilage that separate your nasal cavity are crooked. The doctor recommended septoplasty as the only solution to relieve his breathing difficulties and prevent further complications. However, the cost of the surgery is out of his family’s reach.
If Zeeshan does not receive the surgery soon, the consequences can be harsh. His condition may worsen, leading to chronic respiratory issues, frequent sinus infections, and sleep apnea, which may affect his growth and development.
Zeeshan’s father is a rickshaw driver who earns a modest income of PKR 25,000 per month. He is the sole provider for a family of seven, including Zeeshan and his four siblings. Out of his five children, only one is currently studying, yet the financial burden of school fees and daily necessities remains overwhelming. Their small rented house costs them PKR 10,000 per month, and they spend PKR 7000 on utility bills and PKR 1000 for school fees. Due to their financial constraints, they can’t afford the costly surgery. During this time of need, Zeeshan’s family turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Zeeshan said in despair:
“I have been suffering for years, but my father cannot afford my surgery. It is painful to see him work so hard, but we are unable to find a solution. I want to live a normal life, breathe freely, and sleep without struggling. Kindly help me in undergoing this surgery.”

Muhammad Zeeshan's Story
Muhammad Zeeshan, a 17-year-old boy from Karachi, had been suffering from intermittent nasal blockage and frequent sinus infections since birth. His condition caused persistent discomfort that interfered with his sleep. Concerned about his son’s ongoing struggle, Zeeshan’s father took him to a local hospital. After a thorough evaluation and diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed Zeeshan with a Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS). The ENT specialist advised that septoplasty was the only effective treatment to relieve Zeeshan’s symptoms and improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was far beyond his family’s financial capacity.
Zeeshan lives in a small rented house with his parents and four siblings. His father works as a rickshaw driver, earning just PKR 25,000 a month. As the sole provider, he struggles to cover rent, groceries, and school expenses. The overall household expenses leave no room for saving. During this desperate moment, the family reached out to Transparent Hands for help. Understanding the severity of the situation, we registered Zeeshan’s case and arranged his treatment.
On April 5, 2025, Zeeshan was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Paras Naseem successfully performed the septoplasty, relieving the obstruction in his nasal passage. Zeeshan was discharged in stable condition on April 7, 2025.
Zeeshan shared his heartfelt thoughts as follows:
“I didn’t know what it felt like to breathe easily. This surgery has changed everything for me. I feel healthy, and hopeful again. Thank you for giving me this relief.”
Now, Zeeshan is recovering well and enjoying a life free from the constant struggle to breathe.
He and his family are incredibly grateful to you for making this life-changing surgery possible. Your generosity can never be forgotten.
