Zohaib Hassan Desperately Needs Fistulectomy

Zohaib Hassan's Story
Zohaib Hassan, a 22-year-old man from Karachi, has been experiencing pain in his perianal area for the past three years. The discharge of blood and pus from his perianal area gives him immense discomfort. Moreover, it makes it difficult for him to walk, stand for extended periods, and engage in physical activities. Concerned about his condition, he went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Zohaib with recurrent complex Perianal Fistula. It is a condition where a fistula (an abnormal tunnel) near the anus recurs after treatment. His doctor has advised him to undergo Examination Under Anesthesia (EUA) and fistulectomy with seton placement.
If he does not receive treatment, he may experience persistent pain, as well as a higher chance of developing fecal incontinence or needing more complex surgeries in the future. Therefore, he must undergo this much-needed procedure.
Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his financial means. He lives in a small brick house with his seven family members. His father, the sole earner in the family, is a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 15,000 per month. Due to inflation and their meager monthly income, it is challenging for them to pay their utility bills amounting to PKR 7000 and meet the food and living expenses of their large family. Their financial hardships don’t allow them to pay for Zohaib’s much-needed surgery, leaving them in despair.
Zohaib expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:
“It’s hard to explain how much this pain affects my life. I dream of relief and a future filled with joy. My father works hard to provide for us, and we can’t afford this surgery. Your generosity can change everything. I ask you to help me recover from this illness.”
Your support is the only hope Zohaib is relying upon. Together, we can turn his pain and worries into comfort and hope for a better life.
Join hands with us to provide Zohaib with this life-changing surgery.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
