Ali Hassan Awaits a Life-Saving Heart Surgery
Ali Hassan's Story
Ali Hassan, an innocent 1-year-old boy from Bahawalnagar, has been suffering from shortness of breath and chest discomfort since birth. His skin and lips often take on a bluish color. Activities like crying or feeding make him gasp for breath. Concerned about his condition, Ali’s parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed him with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a congenital heart defect that consists of four related abnormalities, affecting blood flow in the heart. To address his heart issue, the doctor advised open-heart surgery for total correction. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is out of his family’s reach.
Without timely surgical intervention, Ali will not be able to beat the disease. He may face various complications such as irregular heart rhythms and heart failure, which can be life-threatening.
Ali lives in a modest house with his parents and three siblings. His father is the sole provider for his family, works as a daily wage laborer, and brings in just PKR 25,000 per month. With this meager monthly income, he barely manages to cover utility bills as well as food and other living expenses. The family survives in extreme poverty and they are unable to pay for Ali’s life-saving surgery. To make matters worse, they are burdened with a loan of PKR 200,000. Ali’s parents love him so much and they feel helpless to see him in this condition. During this challenging time, Ali contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Ali’s parents said with teary eyes:
“Ali is our beloved child, and he needs open-heart surgery. He is struggling to survive each day of his life. We can’t afford the surgery, and we’re scared of losing him. We ask for your help to save his precious life. Please support his surgery.”
The clock is ticking for Ali and only you can save him. His parents are eagerly counting the days until they can see their son healthy and strong. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference in Ali’s life.

Ali Hassan's Story
Ali Hassan, an innocent 1-year-old boy from Bahawalnagar, had been struggling since the day he was born. He experienced shortness of breath, chest discomfort, and episodes where his skin and lips turned bluish. Even simple activities like crying or feeding left him gasping for breath. Deeply worried, his parents took him to a local hospital. After a thorough examination and essential tests, the doctor diagnosed him with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a serious congenital heart defect involving four structural abnormalities of the heart. To save his life, the doctor advised open-heart surgery for total correction. However, the cost of this life-saving procedure was far beyond the family's financial capacity.
Ali lives in a small home with his parents and three siblings. His father works as a daily wage laborer and earns only PKR 25,000 per month. With this limited income, he struggles to manage utility bills, food, and other basic household expenses. Affording open-heart surgery was impossible for the family. During this time of difficulty, they turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help. After listening to their concerns, we registered his case.
On September 4, 2025, Ali was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore. The next day, Dr. Asim Khan successfully performed his open-heart surgery for total correction. The procedure went smoothly, and Ali received careful post-operative care. With steady improvement in his condition, he was discharged in stable health on September 9, 2025.
Sharing their heartfelt emotions, Ali’s parents said: “You made it possible for our son to receive the much-needed cardiac surgery. Seeing him recovering from heart disease has brought unexplainable relief to our hearts. We are deeply grateful to you and Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation for giving our son a healthy future filled with hope.”
Ali’s health has improved remarkably after surgery. He now breathes comfortably and sleeps peacefully. His family is overjoyed to see him healing and extends their warmest thanks to you for making this life-changing recovery possible.
