Kousar Bibi, a 50-year-old widow from Lahore, has been living with a painful lump in her umbilical region for the past three years. What began as a small lump near her navel has gradually increased in size and has now become increasingly painful, making it difficult for her to carry out everyday activities. Concerned about her worsening condition, she underwent a thorough evaluation. After reviewing her diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed her with a paraumbilical hernia and recommended mesh hernioplasty to repair the weakened abdominal wall and relieve her pain. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is far beyond her family’s financial means. Without timely treatment, Kousar’s condition may continue to worsen.
