Contribute to Gulshan Tahira’s Cholecystectomy and Change Her Life
Gulshan Tahira's Story
Gulshan Tahira, a 30-year-old woman from Kasur, is suffering from pain in the upper right side of her abdomen, along with nausea and vomiting after meals. Day by day, this pain has disturbed her routine and made it difficult for her to care for her children and manage her household responsibilities. She went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After her checkup, Gulshan was diagnosed with symptomatic gallstones. This condition can cause repeated abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and discomfort, especially after eating fatty meals. To relieve her suffering and prevent her condition from becoming more serious, the doctor has advised an Open Cholecystectomy. If left untreated, her condition will continue to worsen over time. She may develop severe complications like gallbladder infection, bile duct obstruction, or even organ damage.
Gulshan is a housewife and a mother of three children. She lives with her husband, children, and parents-in-law in a small rented brick house in Kasur. Her husband, Bilal Ahmed, works as a labourer in a factory and earns only PKR 30,000 per month. He is the only earning member of the family, while seven family members depend on this income. Their modest income is spent on house rent of PKR 5,000, utility bills of PKR 1,500, children’s educational expenses of PKR 2,000, food, and other basic needs. Due to their financial hardships, they can’t afford Gulshan’s much-needed surgery.
Gulshan shared her pain in these words:
“I’ve been facing abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting for a long time. It has become difficult for me to take care of my children and complete my daily household work. I need your support in undergoing this surgery. Kindly donate to my treatment.”
Your kindness can help her return to her children with better health, comfort, and hope.
