Jasveer Singh 's Story
Jasveer Singh, 2 years old, is a bright playful young boy. He has always loved playing outdoors. However, as he was growing up, his parents realized that something was not quite right about his health. He got breathless on minimal exertion and his skin and nails turned blue. This became a cause of great worry for Jasveer’s parents. They took him to a local hospital to get him checked properly. The doctors conducted ECHO and angiography tests so that Jasveer’s condition could be diagnosed correctly. It was found that he was suffering from congenital cardiac condition namely transposition of the great arteries (TGA), intact ventricular septum (IVS) and atrial septal defect (ASD). The cardiac surgeon recommended a Senning procedure for him for which an open heart surgery is required.
Jasveer’s family has been really upset and anxious since this news has come. Since, his father is a daily wager. His monthly salary is only PKR 12,000 with five people solely dependent on his earnings. Their financial situation does not allow them to have their son operated.
“As a father, I want the best possible treatment for my son. But, my financial situation does not allow it. His cardiac surgery costs an amount that I cannot afford even in a year’s earning. My son’s health is deteriorating and he is in dire need of help. I do not know which door to knock and who to ask for help.”- Says Jasveer’s father with tears in his eyes.

Jasveer Singh 's Story
Jasveer Singh, aged 2 years, suffered from cyanosis and breathlessness on minimal exertion since he was born. He was also very fragile and lacked energy. On extensive medical investigation, he was diagnosed with multiple heart conditions including Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), Interventricular Septum (IVS), and Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). The cardiologist advised Senning's procedure after open-heart surgery for him. For this purpose, Jasveer was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital and the surgery was performed by Dr. Asim Khan on 22.02.2021. He stayed in the hospital for eight days and was discharged in a stable condition. Jasveer is slowly recovering from his major surgery.
