Madiha Asghar's Story

Madiha Asghar, a 35-year-old woman from Hyderabad, is 27 weeks pregnant and is facing a challenging moment. She has previously delivered her two children through C-sections. During her recent prenatal check-up, the doctor evaluated her condition and recommended another C-section to ensure the safe delivery of her baby. However, the cost of the C-section is beyond her family’s means. A delayed safe C-section may increase the risk of uterine rupture, severe bleeding, infection, fetal distress, and other life-threatening complications for both the mother and child. A timely C-section is essential to ensure a safe delivery and protect their well-being.

Madiha is a housewife living with her husband and three children in a rented home. Her husband works as a rickshaw driver and is the sole earning member of the family, earning only PKR 25,000 per month. With this modest income, the family pays PKR 8,000 for monthly rent and PKR 2,000 for educational expenses. After covering these essential expenses and other household needs, the family is left with no means to afford the cost of Madiha’s C-section.

Madiha shared her plea as follows: “As a mother, my greatest concern is bringing my baby into the world safely. My husband works hard to provide for our family, but supporting our children and meeting our daily expenses leave us with nothing for my C-section. Kindly help me receive this C-section so that my baby and I can stay safe.”
