Maria Suleman 's Story

Maira awaits VSD Closure. Before you go on the heart wrenching details of Maria’s ailment, know that your help can make a huge change in her life. Therefore, we request you to kindly donate as much as you can and make a change in her life. Please be generous with your contributions and aid Maira’s VSD Closure surgery and save her heart.

Maira Suleman, seven years old, living in Bhakkar, has been enduring the pain of tachycardia and recurrent high fever since her birth. She was born with a congenital defect known as Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). Her parents took her for a check-up. The doctor gave her symptomatic treatment but after some time the medicines stopped working. Over time, her condition worsened. After further evaluation, the Cardiologists  advised Maira to undergo Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) closure. Ventricular septal defect (VSD) closure surgery is a type of heart surgery. It’s done to close a hole between the left and right ventricles of the heart. But due to minimal financial resources, Maira’s family couldn’t proceed with this surgery.

Maira’s father is a daily wager and he is the only caretaker of the family. He earns just enough a month that is merely enough to provide ration for a family of four. He cannot afford the hefty amount of this procedure. A neighbor told him about Transparent Hands and they got connected with us. We verified and registered Maira’s case. Maira’s sorrowed father told us that:

“I feel helpless that I am unable to do anything for my precious child. Whoever is reading this, I request you to please donate for my daughter’s surgery.”

Luckily now that Maira Suleman has been connected and registered with Transparent Hands, we are determined to help her but that is not possible without your support. As Maira awaits VSD Closure, we urge you to donate as much as you can  to aid her surgery and save her heart.
