Asif Ali's Story
Asif Ali, a 20-year-old young man from Kasur, is living with swelling and pain in his groin area. At an age when he should be active, independent, and hopeful about his future, Asif is struggling with a painful lump that has continued to grow with time. The discomfort has now started affecting his daily life, making movement difficult and leaving him worried about his health. Recently, he visited a doctor at a local hospital. After his medical evaluation, Asif was diagnosed with a right inguinal hernia. This condition occurs when tissue pushes through a weak area in the abdominal wall, causing a visible lump, pain, and discomfort. As the lump has increased in size and become painful, the doctor has advised Mesh Hernioplasty to treat his condition and prevent further complications.
If Asif does not receive the required surgery, his condition may continue to worsen and cause:

Their modest income is spent on food, utility bills of PKR 4,000, and other basic needs. Affording Asif’s surgery is impossible for them.

“The swelling has increased, and the pain is becoming difficult for me to bear. I want to recover and live a normal life, but my family cannot afford the cost of my surgery. My father works hard every day, yet his income is only enough for our basic needs. Kindly help me.”
