Misal Khan's Story

Life has not been going very easy for Misal Khan. Misal is unable to put weight on his legs without cringing in pain. But, there is still a chance for him. Your contribution can get Misal Khan back up on his legs again. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Misal’s Total Knee Replacement surgery as much as you can.

For the last one year, seventy-four years old Misal Khan,a resident of Sher Garh, has been suffering from bilateral OA of both knee joints. It caused him severe pain and extreme discomfort. Later, it restricted his ability to walk as well. Upon consultation, Misal Khan was diagnosed with this condition.

To treat this condition, the doctor advised him to undergo a Total Knee Replacement. During the process, the surgeon replaces the old joint with an artificial joint (prosthesis). At first, the doctor will perform the surgery on his right knee. While this surgery promises a pain-free life to Misal, it is certainly not an affordable procedure.

Unfortunately, Misal  cannot afford this costly procedure of a hip replacement surgery. Due to his old age and his aching condition, Misal Khan has been unable to work. He financially relies on assistance from his sons. In these circumstances, they are in no position to arrange for Misal’s surgery. Misal told Transparent Hands:

“It has been 12 months that I have been taking symptomatic treatment for this severe pain. Now, at this point, they have stopped working as well. In this old age of mine it is very difficult to bear this ache. God knows what will become of this pain.”

After a lot of distress, Misal has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we would arrange for his surgery as soon as possible. But, that won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Misal’s total Knee replacement as much as you can.

Misal Khan's Story

Misal Khan, a 74-year-old resident of Sher Garh, was suffering from pain in his knee joints for the last year. He went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Bilateral Osteoarthritis. He was advised to have a total knee replacement (TKR) to get his mobility back. His Right total knee replacement (TKR) was done on 31-12-21 at Northwest General Hospital by Dr. Khushnood Ali Baz. He remained admitted to the hospital for three days and recovered well. He was discharged in satisfactory condition. Slowly, Misal Khan is returning back to his normal life.
