Abdullah Shah's Story

Abdullah Shah, a 42-year-old man from Lahore, has been suffering from a painful and recurring medical condition for years. He has experienced pain, swelling, redness, itching, and discharge around the anal area, making even daily activities difficult. Hoping to find lasting relief, Abdullah visited the hospital, where the doctor advised medical tests. After reviewing the results, he was diagnosed with recurrent perianal fistula. It is an abnormal tunnel that forms between the anal canal and the skin around the anus. This condition has returned despite three previous surgeries. Therefore, the doctor has now recommended fistulectomy with seton placement to treat the fistula more effectively and reduce the risk of another recurrence. Without the recommended surgery, Abdullah’s recurrent perianal fistula may continue to cause repeated infections, painful abscesses, persistent discharge, and further damage to the surrounding tissues. Delaying treatment may increase the risk of complications and make the condition even more difficult to manage.

Abdullah works in a factory and earns only PKR 40,000 per month, which is the sole source of income for his family of seven, including his wife and five children. His modest income barely covers their everyday household expenses, leaving no room for the cost of the surgery. Although he works hard to provide for his family, affording this treatment is beyond his financial capacity.

Abdullah said in despair:

“I have already undergone three surgeries, but the problem keeps coming back. Living with this pain while trying to provide for my wife and children has become incredibly difficult. I kindly ask you to support my treatment so that I can recover from this illness.”

Your support can help Abdullah receive the surgery.
