Muhammad Anus's Story

Muhammad Anas, a 17-year-old boy from Hyderabad, has been living with breathing difficulties since childhood. Frequent nasal blockage, recurring headaches, and repeated episodes of fever have made everyday life challenging for him. These health problems have also affected his ability to focus on his education and enjoy life like other teenagers. Concerned about his condition, his parents took him to a nearby doctor for a detailed medical evaluation. After conducting the necessary diagnostics, the doctor diagnosed Anas with a Right Deviated Nasal Septum (DNS). A deviated nasal septum is a condition in which the wall separating the two nasal passages is displaced, restricting airflow and causing breathing difficulties. To improve his breathing and relieve his symptoms, the doctor has recommended Septoplasty. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s financial means. If he does not receive the surgery soon, his condition may worsen, leading to chronic respiratory issues, frequent sinus infections, and sleep apnea, which may affect his growth and development.

Anas is a student who lives with his parents, one sister, and two brothers in a rented home in Hyderabad. His father owns a small grocery shop and is the family’s sole earning member, bringing home only PKR 25,000 per month. With this modest income, the family pays PKR 10,000 for monthly house rent, PKR 4,000 for utility bills, and is burdened with a loan of PKR 100,000. It is increasingly difficult for the family to meet the monthly expenses. With limited financial resources, affording Anas’s surgery is not possible for them.

Anas’s parents shared their heartfelt plea as follows:

“Since childhood, our son has struggled to breathe and has experienced repeated headaches and nasal blockage. It is painful to watch him suffer, but we cannot afford his surgery. Kindly help our son undergo this much-needed treatment.”
