Ranjhoo Bhagul's Story

Ranjhoo Bhagul, a 66-year-old man from Hyderabad, is living with a painful condition that has made his daily life extremely difficult. For the past three years, he has been suffering from a lump in his left groin. The swelling has gradually increased in size and become more painful. Tasks like sitting and walking have become challenging for him. Recently, Ranjhoo went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing the necessary tests and a medical evaluation, he was diagnosed with a left-sided inguinal hernia. It is a condition in which an internal tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall, causing a painful bulge. To treat this condition, the doctor advised mesh hernioplasty. If left untreated, his condition may worsen over time. The swelling can grow larger and may lead to serious complications such as obstruction or strangulation, where the blood supply to the affected area is cut off.

Ranjhoo lives in a small mud house. He is currently unemployed and fully dependent on his children. His son works as a laborer and earns around PKR 10,000 per month. His two daughters also contribute by working as domestic helpers, each earning about PKR 5,000. Altogether, the family brings in a total income of approximately PKR 20,000 per month, which is barely enough to meet their basic needs. Due to their financial hardships, arranging the cost of surgery is not possible for the family.

With pain in his voice, Ranjhoo shared his plea as follows:

“All I wish for now is to regain a pain-free life. Without surgery, I will continue to suffer. Kindly support my treatment so that I can get rid of this pain and live a healthy life.”

Ranjhoo is counting on your kindness. Your support can bring relief to Ranjhoo’s life and improve his quality of life.
