Relieve Shaheen’s Gallbladder Pain
Shaheen Zaheer's Story
Shaheen Zaheer, a 23-year-old woman from Matiari, Sindh, has been experiencing upper right abdominal pain for the past three years. What started as mild discomfort gradually turned into severe pain in her abdomen. Her condition is accompanied by frequent nausea and indigestion, especially after eating fatty meals. However, the persistent pain often forces her to rest for hours, leaving her feeling helpless. Concerned for her health, her husband finally took her to a local hospital. After a medical examination and diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed her with gallstones. The doctor has advised her to undergo a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy to remove her gallbladder. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s reach.
If Shaheen does not undergo surgery, her condition will worsen. She risks developing severe complications, including infection of the gallbladder, bile duct blockage, or even damage to surrounding organs, which would be life-threatening.
Shaheen and her husband are devastated. They know that surgery is her only chance for recovery, but they also know they can’t afford it. Her husband works as a laborer and earns a modest income of just PKR 18,000 per month. With ten family members relying on him, including children and elderly parents, there’s barely enough to put food on the table. The family lives in a small mud house, and they have no savings at all to pay for Shaheen’s much-needed surgery. During this difficult time, Shaheen has reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Shaheen expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:
“This pain is getting worse, and I can’t live a healthy life now. I don’t want to be a burden on others. I just want to be well again and take care of my family like before. Kindly help me undergo the surgery.”
Your support can help Shaheen reclaim her health and dignity. A small act of generosity can bring lasting relief to her and her family.
Let’s stand with Shaheen and help her through this difficult time.

Shaheen Zaheer's Story
Shaheen Zaheer, a 23-year-old woman from Matiari, Sindh, had been suffering from pain in her upper right abdominal region. Over time, this discomfort turned into sharp, persistent pain that often left her confined to bed for hours. Meals turned into moments of worry, as fatty foods would trigger waves of nausea, indigestion, and unbearable pain. Concerned for her well-being, Shaheen’s husband finally took her to a local hospital. After conducting a thorough examination and necessary diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed her with gallstones — hard deposits that form in the gallbladder and block the normal flow of bile. The only way to relieve her pain and prevent dangerous complications was to undergo a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy to remove her gallbladder.
However, the cost of this essential surgery was far beyond what Shaheen’s family could afford. Her husband works as a laborer and earns a modest income of just PKR 18,000 per month. With ten family members depending on him, most of his earnings go toward putting food on the table and meeting their daily needs. Saving for surgery was simply out of reach, leaving Shaheen and her husband feeling hopeless. During their time of distress, they reached out to Transparent Hands for help. Upon listening to their concerns, we swiftly registered her case.
On June 1, 2025, Shaheen was admitted to Isra University Welfare Hospital, Hyderabad. The next day, Dr. Aftab Ahmed performed her Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. The surgery was successful, and with post-operative care, Shaheen was discharged in stable condition on June 4, 2025.
With deep gratitude, Shaheen said: “I am free from constant pain and discomfort now. I can take care of my family again. Thank you for helping me. I will always remember your generosity.”
Shaheen now faces each day with strength and relief, free from the pain that once consumed her life.
Your support has brought comfort and hope back to her life. Shaheen is grateful to you for significantly changing her life.
