Haseena Ghaffar 's Story

For the past eight months, 34-year-old Haseena Ghaffar from Karachi has been living with a fear she never imagined—a growing lump in her left breast. This lump has become a source of discomfort and worry. Recently, she visited a doctor at a local hospital. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Haseena with left-sided breast cancer. The doctor has advised a Modified Radical Mastectomy (Left) to remove the cancer before it spreads further. However, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming for her family.

If left untreated, the cancer will continue to grow, spreading to other parts of her body. With time, the pain and fatigue may worsen and her life will be at serious risk.

Haseena lives in a modest home with her husband and two school-going children. Her husband, a hardworking man, earns just PKR 24,000 per month from his job at a private firm. With two school-going children to support, their financial situation is already stretched thin. They spend PKR 3000 on utility bills and PKR 5000 on educational expenses, leaving little room for medical costs. Due to their financial constraints, they can’t afford the significant cost of the surgery. During this time of need, Haseena contacted Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.

With tears in her eyes, Haseena shared her plea as follows:

“This pain is intense and I can’t bear it anymore. My children need me, and I want to be there for them. Please help me in undergoing the surgery.”

This brave mother needs your kindness to overcome the toughest battle of her life. Your support can give Haseena the opportunity to heal, recover, and be there for her children.

Let’s stand with Haseena and help her defeat breast cancer.

Haseena Ghaffar 's Story

Haseena Ghaffar, a 34-year-old woman from Karachi, had been living under the shadow of fear and uncertainty. What began as a small, painless lump in her left breast slowly turned into a cause of deep concern. As the lump grew in size, it made it difficult for her to focus on daily life. Eventually, Haseena visited a local hospital, where she consulted a specialist. After a thorough physical examination, imaging, and lab tests, the doctor diagnosed her with left-sided breast cancer. The only way to stop the disease from spreading was to undergo a Modified Radical Mastectomy (Left). However, her family was unable to pay for her surgery.

Haseena’s husband worked at a private firm and earned just PKR 24,000 per month. This meager income barely covered their household expenses and the school fees of their two young children. Living in a modest home, they were already struggling to make ends meet, and arranging money for such a major surgery felt impossible. With hope in her heart, Haseena reached out to Transparent Hands for help, and her case was promptly registered.

On March 17, 2025, Haseena was admitted to Bait-ul-Sukoon Cancer Hospital, Karachi. Dr. Urooj Abbasi successfully performed her left-sided Modified Radical Mastectomy on March 18, 2025. The surgery went smoothly, and she was discharged in stable condition after receiving post-operative care on March 21, 2025.

Haseena shared her gratitude as follows:

"Before surgery, I used to wonder if I would be able to beat this cancer. Today, after the surgery, I feel like I’ve been given a new chance at life. I’m truly grateful to you for making this possible for me.”

Haseena is now recovering and is filled with new strength and positivity.

Her children once again see hope in her eyes. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to you for supporting her treatment.
