Joun Abbas's Story

Meet Joun Abbas, a 3-year-old boy from Jhang, who has been fighting to survive each day of his life since birth. He suffers from shortness of breath and chest discomfort. Even the slightest physical activity causes him to gasp for air. His parents have watched him struggle with symptoms that make everyday life difficult. Concerned about his health, his family took him to a hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough evaluation, Joun was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a complex congenital heart defect that affects the normal flow of blood through the heart and reduces the amount of oxygen reaching the body. To assess his condition in detail and provide the treatment, the doctor has recommended angiography followed by open-heart surgery for total correction. Without the recommended treatment, his condition may continue to worsen, increasing the risk of serious complications and affecting his growth and development.

Joun lives with his parents and a sibling in a small rented flat in Jhang. His father works at a private company and is the sole earning member of the family, bringing home just PKR 30,000 per month. Out of this modest income, PKR 10,000 is spent on house rent, while PKR 1,700 goes towards educational expenses. After covering these essential household costs, the family has very little left to manage daily needs, making the cost of Joun’s surgery impossible for them to afford.

Expressing their concerns, Joun’s parents said:

“Every day we wish that our son can overcome this heart condition. The cost of his treatment is beyond our financial capacity. Kindly save Joun’s life.”

Your support can help him receive the surgery and give his parents the comfort of seeing their son grow with better health and new hope.

Give generously and change Joun’s life with heart surgery.
