Shaban Mithal's Story

Shaban Mithal, a 54-year-old man from Shikarpur, is fighting a painful health condition that has made his life challenging. Around three months ago, he began experiencing severe pain in the upper right side of his abdomen, along with repeated episodes of vomiting and difficulty digesting fatty meals. He went to a doctor, who performed the necessary laboratory tests and an ultrasound examination. After the evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with cholelithiasis, a condition in which hardened deposits, commonly known as gallstones, form inside the gallbladder. To treat his condition and prevent further complications, the doctor advised Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. Sadly, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s financial capacity. If left untreated, Shaban’s condition will continue to worsen over time. He may develop severe complications like gallbladder infection, bile duct obstruction, or even organ damage.

Shaban is also visually impaired and is unable to work or earn a living. He lives with his wife, and the couple has no children. They do not have a home of their own and currently stay with Shaban’s brothers, moving between their homes every 15 days. His brothers provide financial support and take care of their daily living expenses. As Shaban has no source of income, affording this surgery is impossible for the family.

Shaban said in despair:

“I have already lost my eyesight, and now this constant pain has made life even more difficult for me. I depend on my brothers for everything because I cannot earn a living. Kindly help me undergo this much-needed treatment so I can find relief from this pain.”

Shaban has experienced enough hardship, but your kindness can bring hope into his life. Your support can help him undergo surgery, and ease his suffering.
