Shakeela Bibi's Story

The last few years have been very challenging for Shakeela Bibi who has been suffering from severe pain. You can help her get back on her feet and bring relief to her life. We request you to support Shakeela’s Hip Replacement surgery as much as you can.

Shakeela Bibi, a 42-year-old resident of Mardan, has been suffering from Avascular Necrosis (AVN) in both hips for the last five years. AVN is the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. Also called osteonecrosis, it can lead to tiny breaks in the bone and cause the bone to collapse. The process usually takes months to years. A broken bone or dislocated joint can stop the blood flow to a section of bone. Although osteoarthritis can damage any joint, the disorder most commonly affects joints in the knees and hips. The excruciating pain has hindered Shakeela’s ability to move, get up, and walk on her own easily.

To treat her condition, the doctor has advised Shakeela to undergo a right total hip replacement surgery as soon as possible. Unfortunately, Shakeela Bibi cannot afford the hefty cost of the surgery. Her husband works as a driver and earns just PKR 15,000 per month. He told us:

“I am the sole earner in this family. I watch helplessly as the pain continues to increase day by day. Please help us raise funds for her surgery. We will pray for you our whole lives.”

You are the last hope for Shakeela and her family as they exhausted all other options. We have assured her that we would arrange her surgery as soon as possible. However, we need your help to make her total hip replacement surgery possible. Please support Shakeela’s hip replacement surgery by clicking the green button above.
