Muhammad Bilal, a 15-year-old boy from Hyderabad, has been struggling with painful and frequent urination for the past three years. Concerned about his worsening condition, his parents took him to a doctor for a thorough evaluation. After conducting the necessary laboratory tests and medical examinations, the doctor diagnosed him with vesical calculi, which are bladder stones that cause pain, burning, and difficulty during urination. To remove the stones and provide lasting relief, the doctor has advised vesicolithotomy. Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure is beyond his family’s financial means. Without timely surgery, Bilal’s condition may continue to worsen. The bladder stones can cause recurring pain, urinary tract infections, and damage to the bladder and kidneys. Bilal is currently studying Hifz-ul-Quran at a madrasa and lives with his parents and brother. This modest income supports four family members, including monthly educational expenses of PKR 800 and utility bills of PKR 2,000. The family lives in a modest home provided by Bilal’s maternal uncle, where they do not pay rent but contribute for utility costs. After meeting their basic needs, there is nothing left to afford Bilal’s surgery.
Bilal’s father shared his heartfelt plea as follows:
“My son has been living with this painful condition for three years. He wants to complete his Hifz and continue his studies, but his health condition makes it difficult for him to focus. I work hard every day, but my income barely covers our basic needs. Kindly help my son receive this surgery so he can focus on his studies and live without pain.”
