Muhammad Ameeq's Story

Eight-year-old Muhammad Ameeq from Khanewal is suffering from a serious health issue. Frequent chest discomfort, shortness of breath, fatigue, and heart palpitations have become a part of his life, making even daily activities difficult for him. As his symptoms continued to worsen, his family took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. Following detailed examinations, the doctor diagnosed Muhammad Ameeq with Severe Aortic Regurgitation (AR), Moderate Aortic Stenosis (AS), and Left Ventricular Volume Overload (LVVO). These conditions place excessive strain on his heart, affecting its ability to function properly. The doctor has recommended Open-Heart Surgery (Aortic Valve Replacement). Without this surgery, Ameeq’s condition will continue to deteriorate. It may lead to severe complications, and he might not be able to overcome the disease.

Muhammad Ameeq lives with his parents and two siblings in a modest rural household. His father works as a laborer and earns only PKR 20,000 per month. This limited income is barely enough to provide food, utilities, and other necessities for the family. To make matters worse, the family is already burdened by a loan of PKR 100,000. In these circumstances, saving money for this life-saving heart surgery is impossible for them.

His father shared his plea with a heavy heart as follows “I work hard to support my family, but my earnings are not enough to afford my son’s heart surgery. My only wish is to see him healthy and living without heart disease. Kindly save my son’s life.”
