You Can Relieve Iftikhar Yousaf’s Pain Through Hernioplasty
Iftikhar Yousaf's Story
Iftikhar Yousaf, a 51-year-old man from Toba Tek Singh, is suffering from a painful condition that has now taken a serious turn. For many years, he has been suffering from a lump in the right side of his groin. With time, it has gradually increased in size and has now become very large and painful. He experiences frequent episodes of pain and vomiting, especially after meals. Even simple actions like sitting have become uncomfortable for him. Concerned about his health, Iftikhar visited a doctor for a proper examination. After an evaluation, he was diagnosed with a huge right-sided inguinal hernia, a condition where internal tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall, creating a painful bulge. To treat this condition and prevent further complications, the doctor has advised mesh hernioplasty. However, he can’t afford his treatment. If left untreated, his condition may worsen and lead to serious complications such as obstruction or strangulation, where blood supply to the affected area is cut off. This can result in severe pain and may require emergency treatment, putting his life at risk.
Iftikhar lives alone at home. He works as a laborer and earns only PKR 15,000 per month. This modest income is barely enough to meet his basic daily needs, including food and household expenses. He faces immense financial hardships. Due to this, arranging the cost of surgery is not possible for him. During this time of need, he contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
With a heavy heart, Iftikhar shared his plea as follows:
“I have been living with this swelling for many years, and now it has become very painful. I cannot sit or work properly. Kindly help me undergo this surgery so that I can have a peaceful life.”
Your support can bring relief to Iftikhar and help him regain a normal life.
